HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO THIS?

Like I said in my letter to you, I want you to go into your local one-hour photo store and pick up the prints like you have just got back from tour and you are awaiting to see what photos you took while on the road. I want you to have a feeling of anticipation and surprise. When you look at the photos I want you to laugh to yourself thinking, "Oh that time in that liberal arts college in Ohio when Ches karate kicked the pizza box in a stupor of tour insanity." "Oh yes, when we turned the 'United We stand' marquee into 'Tits and Weed.'" "Ahhh, when Jamie gave Ronald Reagan what he deserved." When you possess these photos you become part of the story. You were there, you felt what was felt.

I have been using Walgreens because photos are only 19 cents each (15 cents when over 100 are printed). Go to the Walgreens site and search for a location near you that says "Digital photo pickup."

Then pick the photo-sets you want:

1. Tour across Canada with This Song is a Mess But So Am I - Spring 2005
2. Tour across North America with The Yellow Swans - Fall 2005
3. Tour across The South with The Dead Science - Winter 2005
4. Tour across North America with Barr - Winter 2006
5. Tour across North America with CFTPA, SW, SR - Spring 2007

* Remember each set is 24 photos

There is a $10 fee for this. This fee is not per how many sets you want. It is $10 if you order one set, or if you order 5 sets. (remember, you will still pay for printing fees and sales tax in the store)

I will email you when I upload the files and when they will be ready to be picked up. You will then be able to go to the store, pay for the printing fees, and pick up your photos.

There is a way to bypass the $10 fee. I want you to take a white shirt and with a black sharpee write in big letters: "THE ECONOMY IS BORING" - photograph yourself wearing this inside a bank. Send me the photo and tell me the date it was taken and the location of the bank. Please shoot this at the highest resolution possible (incase these get printed), but please email me a small file. You will still have to pay in the store for the printing fees.

* If there is no Walgreens near you please find the closest place that allows photos to be uploaded via the internet and picked up in store. The place must allow to have the prints paid for in the store. I don't want to have to pay for the printing, it will make things too complicated.

WELL, FUCK, THIS DEFEATS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT. BUT I DON'T WANT TO DISCRIMINATE. SEND ME $10 AND I'LL SEND YOU A BURNED CD OF THE IMAGE FILES FOR ALL 5 TOURS AND YOU CAN JUST GO SOMEWHERE AND PRINT IT YOURSELF! YOU CAN DO THE BANK THING TOO, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY $10 TO COVER MY SHIPPING AND MATERIAL COSTS.
