Dear You,

 

You are here for a reason. You maybe like what I do? Or maybe you just stumbled here on accident. Well, I am going to ask you for a favor. OK? This isn't a scam, and I hope you don't notice a recurring theme where I ask people for money. That is not what is happening. My other page where I ask people for money is just about funding these activities where I return a gesture towards you or someone else (sending YOU star sand, thinking about YOU, giving SOMEONE ELSE cookies). This one is different. This oneI am asking for money to help me with an art-show I have in Los Angeles in a few weeks. I have this show in Los Angeles where I will go and watch the sunset in Palos Verdes for everyday of the exhibition. I will tell you more about this later because I need to get to the point and not ramble around trying to evade the issue. Basically, I am asking for funding to fly my friend Mia Nolting from Portland to Los Angeles to help me with the installation. Mia Nolting flew out last year when I curated a show about boredom at High Energy Constructs in Chinatown. Again, I am having Mia fly out to help me. Actually, I already bought the ticket. It cost $202.50. But that is not it. I am planning on printing a new edition of 1000 newsprints that will be given away for free. That will probably cost $600 or so. This is an old edition of 1000 newsprint that I made. I am asking for money to fund (and reimburse) these two activities.

What's in it for you? Anyone who makes a donation of $100 or more will get a set of 4x6 prints of all the sunsets in the exhibition. That is 15 sunsets. Anyone who makes a donation of over $10 will get a print of one of Mia's drawings.
