February 2011 Archives
For the duration of the exhibition I will be e-mailing the curator documentation of the pieces I am mailing in, which is pretty much happening everyday Monday to Saturday.
She has agreed to forward the emails. If you wish to receive them, send her a request:

Intimate Bureaucracies: Art and the Mail at Art Exchange
This exhibition investigates how artworks accumulate meaning while in transit.
Intimate Bureaucracies explores the roots and development of mail art and the ways in which artists employ different methods of circulation to open up unexpected spaces in society and seek wider participation in their work.
Intimate Bureaucracies includes the work of internationally renowned
artists Walead Beshty, Eugenio Dittborn, Felipe Ehrenberg, León
Ferrari, David Hortwitz,
Ray Johnson, Cristiano Lenhardt and Cildo Meireles who examine the
possibilities for human connection and collaboration, while also
critiquing the
established processes of art circulation in both the art market and media.
Art Exchange is open Monday–Friday 11.00am–5.00pm, Saturday 12.00pm–4.00pm.

Iron Maiden Artist Tours (IMAT)
brings together artists and art aficionados for exclusive, mobile
experiences. Each tour follows an itinerary devised by a New York-based
visual artist, who leads the tour from the front passenger seat of a
1978 Volvo station wagon, the Iron Maiden. Two passengers, who have
purchased their seats, sit in the backseat. Project Artist Naomi Miller
is the driver. All four participants move through a tour that closely
relates to the featured artist's practice or knowledge base.
