OPENING JANUARY 8TH

Soloway Presents: The Best of 2011

January 8-16, 2011

Soloway inaugurates the New Year with The Best of 2011, our selection of the most exciting and critically engaging work of 2011. All of the work in the exhibition will be created, completed or debuted in the first week of January, 2011. It is a year characterized by bold and intuitive use of color, innovative investigation of new materials, skepticism of dogmatic aesthetic ideologies, a rejection of art market cynicism, the decline of the professionalized MFA, the expansion of the studio into aspects of daily life, and a celebration of the marginal and overlooked.

Artists include: Ryan Harden Brown, Bjorn Copeland, Dustin Hodges, David Horvitz, Katie Hubbard, Alisha Kerlin, Dani Levinthal, Pam Lins, Charles Mayton, Keith McCulloch, Ohad Meromi, Sophy Naess, Lise Soskolne, and Erica Svec.

The Best of 2011 will run for one week only, from January 8-16. Please join us on Saturday, January 8th, from 6-8 for an opening reception.
